Who we are

This website is operated by Tudorvale Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10748925). Registered office: 92-94 High Street, Porthmadog, Gwynedd, LL49 9NW. Tudorvale Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@tudorvale.wales.

This policy covers tudorvale.wales and tudorvale.cymru, which are the English and Welsh homes of the same site.

The personal data we collect

Enquiries. When you use our contact form we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company name, the type of enquiry and your message. The form sends this to us as an email. We do not store your enquiry in a database.

Analytics. We use two analytics services. Plausible Analytics measures aggregate visits without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. Google Analytics 4 runs only if you accept it through the consent banner; it uses cookies to measure how the site is used.

Technical data. Our systems process IP addresses transiently for security, for example to limit abusive traffic to the contact form. We do not keep a persistent log of this against your identity.

How we use your data, and why we are allowed to

We use enquiry details to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or taking steps prior to a contract where your enquiry is about becoming a client. We use consented analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it; the lawful basis for the cookies involved is your consent, which you can decline or withdraw at any time. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Cookies and consent

The site sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics cookies are set only after you choose to accept them in the consent banner, and your choice itself is remembered on your device. Plausible is cookieless. If you change your mind, clear the site's cookies and data in your browser and the banner will ask you again.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Resend (delivery of contact form emails), Google (analytics, only with your consent) and Microsoft (our business email). They process data on our behalf under their own data processing terms. Some of these providers are based in the United States; transfers rely on the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up work, and are then deleted in the normal management of our mailboxes. Consented analytics data is retained on Google's standard retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email info@tudorvale.wales and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
